On the Estates
As a leading provider of independent retirement housing in the UK, our estate teams have found themselves at the forefront of the pandemic, continuing to provide our estate management service to 3,000 residents, the majority of whom are classed as vulnerable, and many of whom are without their usual support systems in place. Those of you who have family or friends living on our estates are no doubt concerned about them.
However, our estate teams are doing everything they can to make sure everyone’s needs are catered for. Each resident has had the chance to speak with their manager about the situation and what support they need, and the managers are working hard with their teams and plugging into the local community and volunteer networks.
Our grounds remain open and residents are warmly welcomed to make the most of them. We are working hard to get the rest of the communal facilities open safely as quickly as we can.
Our operations managers continue to support their estate teams at this time. Head office is physically closed, but all of the head office team are working from home and all services continue as normal.
We are writing to all of our residents on a regular basis to keep them informed of what steps we are taking in this unprecedented situation. As ever, if there are any queries, then our wonderful estate managers are the first port of call. While the offices are closed to visitors, they are still in contact with all of the residents daily, and contactable by phone and email.
As the estate offices are closed, similarly our head office colleagues too are affected. Pipe House is closed, and staff are dealing with the challenges and limitations of working from home. Whilst we are working hard to ensure communications are responded to as quickly as possible, coronavirus has forced a need to prioritise, and has had an impact on our ability to respond as quickly as normal.
Let me reassure you that if your query is urgent, we will deal with it as a priority.
Lower priority requests and queries will take time to be resolved but we can assure you that we will get back to you in due course. If we are not able to resolve non urgent matters fully in two to three weeks, we will keep you updated until we are able to do so.
If you do need to contact us, email is by far the most efficient way to do so. Using the firstname.lastname@example.org email address will ensure that we are able to prioritise all queries and direct them to the person best placed to help you.
Our estates are open for viewings and property sales, please contact the Property team on 01491 821170 for more information.
