Cognatum’s single estate in Northamptonshire is located in Towcester.Often described as the Rose of the Shires, Northamptonshire is home to numerous charming villages with thatched cottages, country lanes and quaint churches. Several stately homes, including the Spencer family seat at Althorp, form part of the local heritage and Rockingham Castle offers beautiful views stretching all the way to Rutland Water. The county also offers many opportunities to appreciate sport, with Silverstone and Rockingham motor racing circuits, spectacular golf courses and first-class county cricket. Northampton itself is tucked into a corner of the River Nene, with a variety of shops, restaurants, museums and a theatre. The M1 runs right through the middle of the county offering easy access to Luton airport, and the M40 touches the eastern fringe.
