Beautiful views from a village of Domesday fame

Tattenhall is a pretty, thriving rural farming village, mentioned in Domesday as Tatenhale. In the centre of the village is Flacca Court, overlooking the local cricket pitch and with beautiful views beyond to the Peckforton Hills. The spacious two- and three-bedroom cottages and apartments all have either a conservatory, a sunroom, or a balcony, from which you can enjoy the colourful gardens. There is also a bowling green on the estate.

The village has a grocer, dentist, chemist, post office, café and a number of pubs. There are narrow boats to hire at Tattenhall’s 300-berth marina on the Shropshire Union Canal, a waterway that first brought prosperity to the area as an artery for the shipment of its cheese and dairy products. The estate is just eight miles from the historic cathedral city of Chester, with its fascinating Roman walls and Tudor architecture, and only a short journey takes you to the Welsh border and Snowdonia National Park.
